TECHNOLOGY

Throughout the range of ORKA Golf equipment we have used a number of innovative technologies to make you play better. This includes the material we use through to the positioning of weight within a club, some things you can see, some you can feel.

PU Rubberised Paint

this unique paint finish allows us to change the sound of the clubs. Through this technology we have been able to utilise the technological shapes of modern drivers without the compromise of the off putting sound that so often accompanies it. The PU paint finish is currently available on the PS40 series of woods and the Kii Cup Face Driver.

CWS – Configurable Weight System

Featured in the Kii and PS40 series of Woods and Hybrids CWS allows you greater control of ball flight via a weighting system, that you can control with the wrench supplied.

TCT – Thin Crown Technology

TCT is featured in all woods and hybrids, it allows us to disperse weight we have removed from the crown to other areas of the head for performance benefits.

3M – MultiMaterialManufacture

This is featured in our GS5 CTi Iron. A PU insert is placed in the perimeter cavity acting as a sound and vibration dampener, and also allowing us to disperse more weight into the heel and toe areas of the club to create greater stability through the shot.

DFD – Dynamic Face Design

Variable face thickness allows us to optimise perforance and forgiveness from the face.

Plasma Welding
In order to put different parts of heads together, we weld them. TIG welding is the cheapest method and is done by hand, unfortunately it heats a large surface area of the face when welded, which damages the performance of the club and leads to greater inconsistencies. This is why we prefer Plasma welding, this technique heats a much smaller area of the material, thus leading to less molecular change in the metals.
