Ask Yourself This

No doubt you often wonder if getting custom fit for new golf clubs would be beneficial, is it all hype? Would lessons be a better route to go, we hear and see these points raised across the golfing world and both are very valid points. However, we have a question for you, would you go for a run in shoes a size to small or to big? Would you take your car to be repaired by a trainee mechanic with no knowledge, but he has all the tools to do the job?

Bear this in mind, "It' cannot be greater than the sum of the parts". Having the correct equipment fit to you, as well as the right tuition will inevitably make you a far better golfer, allowing you to enjoy the game more.

Regardless of age, gender, ability or budget we have you covered, having the right tools to do the job is half the battle. it's about making the game easier and seeing lower scores.

Is this you...?

  1. Top the ball too often - Your clubs maybe be too short for you
  2. Take big divots too often - Your clubs maybe too long for you
  3. Always pulling the ball to the right - Your clubs maybe to upright
  4. Find you slice the ball a few to many times - Your clubs maybe to flat
  5. Find your swing gets tired after the 15th - Your club weight maybe too heavy
  6. Do you flip the ball at times - The flex of your shafts may well be too soft

There are many contributing factors that can lead the above results, some swing related and some club related. Understanding the relationship between your swing characteristics and the equipment you use is key to achieving your optimal.

The important part of the varying components is understanding how each one limits your golf or allows you to maximise it.

  1. Shaft weight - Light does not always mean you will generate more ball / club head speed. Ensuring the right weight for you will
  2. Shaft Flex - Flex has no direct link between ability, age, gender or handicap
  3. Shaft kick point - Too high you'll see a lower flight, too low and you'll see a higher ball flight
  4. Club head - What are its characteristics and functions, LCG (low centre of gravity) or HCG (high centre of gravity) what will that do to the ball flight
  5. Material of the head - Softer steel results in softer feel
  6. Grip size - Too small your likely to flip the hands more, too thick and you won't be able to release the hands and forearm through impact
  7. Club to uprights, you'll likely pull it left, too flat you likely push or block it

How does the golfer determine what is the most suitable equipment?

  1. Is your swing path in to out, out to in, square to out to square to in, etc
  2. Are you steep, are you shallow
  3. Do you swing it slow, do you swing it quick
